B.E.S.T. offers tutoring in TOEFL, TOEIC, SAT, and GMAT as well as editing and writing services for the Bloomington, Indiana community. The editing and writing services are also available worldwide via email and the web. Our primary instructor, Charles Fischer, has achieved scores in the 99.9th percentile in both the SAT and GMAT and has had eight years international teaching experience with ESL and GMAT students from Japan, Korea, China, Thailand, Vietnam, Iran, Mexico, Colombia, Russia and Ukraine. He holds a graduate Certificate in TESL from UCLA as well as an MBA from the UCLA Anderson School of Management and has also worked in the business world as a computer consultant in banking and high tech manufacturing.

For ESL students not yet ready to take the TOEFL or TOEIC tests, B.E.S.T offers tutoring to pass the European (Cambridge) tests:

KET - Key English Test (UK level A2)
PET - Preliminary English Test (UK level B1) or BEC - Business English Certificate - Preliminary (UK level B1)
FCE - First Certificate in English (UK level B2) or BEC - Business English Certificate - Vantage (UK level B2)

The following certificate tests are at the university level:
CAE - Certificate in Advanced English  (UK  level C1) or BEC - Business English Certificate - Higher (UK level C1)
CPE - Certificate of Proficiency in English (UK level C2)

ELLLO stands for English Language Listening Lab Online and is a free online listening resource of over 1,000 listening activities designed especially for ESL and EFL students and teachers. Most listening activities include images, an interactive quiz, transcript of the audio and downloadable MP3. ELLLO has weekly updates and includes interviews, listening games, survey mixers featuring six different speakers responding to the same question, news center animated newscasts, and songs.

Randall's ESL Cyber Listening Lab  has General Listening Quizzes on various everyday topics divided into easy, medium, and advanced levels.
